I started this venture about five years ago. On my free time, I would write motorcycle chapters, hoping that if I had gotten enough of them together we could do a large bike run in New York at Ground Zero, on
9-11-2014. After 2 years into my venture, I was in contact with the Mayor's office in New York Ground Zero, and we had planned a large bike run, a large platform for our concert, security, comedians etc.
After the 3rd year I reached 40 thousand bikers nationwide.Calling the Mayors office, I was then told they could not accommodate us, as we have grown too large... My dreams were going down hill. I wanted to reach anyone and everyone nationwide, and our Troops over sea. I wanted everyone over seas to be able to listen, catch it by our news channels, or turn on the computer and see all of us at Ground Zero! It would have been amazing for them to see the support America has, as we will never forget, and we will never forget their ultimate sacrifice for our FREEDOM.
It was that 3rd year that my dream became a reality once more. I took a trip into Ohio from Arizona visiting my family. My Uncle Ted came over for a visit at my Moms. He asked me what I had been doing? I began to tell him about my dream to be in New York with 40 thousand bikers from all over the world. Watching them roll in one by one, reaching Ground Zero, going on a nice run, returning to listen to us speak of our brave men and women over seas, and the one's who had returned with so much baggage as my Uncle calls it. Their duffle bags are full, and not just of clothing, but heartache... To be able to listen to them tell their story, it was going to be open mic for all.
My Uncle started to cry listening to my story, he then told me that was one of his regrets wanting to be a military member of the armed forces.
We have a long line of military members in our family that goes way back. I was married to a Lifer in the Air Force, we have 3 beautiful
children, Jeanette School whom is one of her brother and sisters greatest supporters as they are military as well. UT2 Rachael School
my middle daughter, and my son Hank School, he is in the Navy reserves.
My daughter Rachael took after her Father and joined the Air Force, that was until her brother joined the Navy! When my son Hank was away at boot camp, Rachael chose to switch branches and surprise her brother, so she joined the Navy! She arrived at his graduation and was in her Navy Whites! He couldn't believe it! I cannot tell you how PROUD I am of my three children.. They are amazing individuals, they love their country! They love the military!
And they support our Troops and Veterans to the very end... And the closeness, the brotherhood they all have with their Father is so amazing to watch... If your not military it's hard to understand, unless you grew up with it. It's a love that can NEVER be divided.. Ok sorry about that, I go off on the beaten path here and there. Getting back to my Uncle Ted Chaplik. After he heard what I had been doing for 3 yrs, he was amazed that I hadn't had a company, board members, a Team! It was just me... He spent a great deal of time with me in Ohio, and his passion for our Troops and Veterans lead me where I am today. He set a fire under me that will never be put out! I thought I had a lot of passion for our country, our brave men and women in the armed forces, but he takes the cake!
It's been 5 yrs now, and we have a TEAM! And what a great group of people! Each one see's our vision, our passion, and they get it! We are licensed, we are going for our 501(c)(3), from 4 year calendars with over 100 thousand bikers! To 5 year budgets! We are rolling!!!
I owe this to my Uncle Ted, and I can't thank him enough for sharing his vision with me. I know I wanted to help our Troops, as we are loosing 1 every 2 minutes now. America, they need our help, they have paid the ultimate sacrifice, as my children say "if you can't stand in front of me, then stand behind me"... Ask yourself one question, could you take a bullet for someone you don't know? I don't know if one could be that brave? Our military members are an exceptional breed. They can't be copied, as each one is so different in their own way, but they all have the same feeling, "THEY WOULD DIE FOR YOU AND I:
Could you do what they do every day? Pack up that duffle bag,
leave your family, your husband? Your wife? Your Children? Your Mother
and Father? Your Sisters and Brothers? And get on that plane
willingly, and know you might not come HOME? Or volunteer over and
over again, because your brothers and sisters are over there, and your
not there to help protect them and know someone has their back.
To come home after a long tour, and feel lost, have no direction,
not know what to do with yourself? As my Uncle puts it, your over
seas and your in control of an entire unit for a year at a time.
Then you come home to maybe a job at a resturant, or gastation.
And the person your waiting on, has no idea the man or women
standing in front of him JUST PAID THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE FOR YOU.
But he or she is still willing to wait on you, and take a job
where ever they can find one.
THIS IS WRONG PEOPLE! Our brave men and women should be sitting
on cushions, spending time with their families, loving life.
We all know they are not. They suffer in silence and go through
each day holding their head up, telling you they are just fine.
They choose NOT to dishonor their uniform, and not admit they have any
problems what so ever. They are trained Soldiers, trained to suck
it up and walk it off.
That is why we are here now, it's time to STOP DBD death before dishonor.
You brave men and women, this is a new age, you have chosen to give
your life for ours. We owe you our Freedom! It's time we as
Americans stand up and let us pay you back...
We are coming to find you, if your watching tv, playing your video
games, can't seem to get back into society? We are here, and we
are willing to get you to your comfort zone once again, without
having to go back over seas.
We are willing and waiting to help with anything you need.
